Man it snowed here last night. That just bums me out. I hate snow before December, it always means a long winter.
A bit of malaise has set in now at the Lab. At least for me. Our progress the last couple of weeks has been pretty slow. We got together a few days ago to track drums, with the hope of adding a couple more to the finished drum pile, but really got hung up on "Hibakusha" so we got a solid track of that down and then called it a day. Tonight we will prep some temp tracks for John to work over on the weekend. We have several more songs to get drums on, and I think once the drums are done and we turn our attention to other instruments it might get my blood pumping again.
On the positive side, it may seem(and feel) like we’ve been tracking drums for the past 3 months, really what we have been doing is working out all the arrangements as well. In some cases, working songs up from sketches, or adding whole new sections, so it really has been quite productive.
We’ve also come up with a few novel promotion ideas which I’m not going to share yet because someone(no, I know not you) will steal them.
I think we are really geared up to actually try to get people engaged on this record, which would be a first for us.

I think you dudes should stop being so hard on yourselves. This is part time, no? It sounds like you’re working much faster than say, Metallica on the Black Album.
Wow! what an idea ! What a concept ! Beautiful .. Amazing ?
