Ok, so I haven’t updated for a little while. Life got in the way, or rather, the ugly work related, non-fun, non-music related aspects of my life. I’m on the road with work now in fact, and plan to use my time here at the Quality Inn to catch up and even give you all some bonus blogging.
But first, let’s get some business out of the way. Recording Diary 14 means we have now had 14 sessions in the studio, or the rough equal of 2 weeks. Now granted our sessions are usually not 10 hours straight of bone weary take after take slogging. Rather, we do a couple of takes, talk Ed into firing up the BBQ, jam out some Magma cover songs, and make each other laugh with Nathan Explosion impressions, but still…we are making progress. Actually this week we are not, I’m at the Quality Inn, but before I left we had a very productive session. John laid down the drums for "The Callow Ones." As becoming the norm, we played it through a few times with the band first and once John had his Mojo going, turned on the tape recorder(actually clicked the mouse) and captured the raw energy that John emitted.
We then spent a while figuring out how to take "Corpses of the Dead" from our fine "Corpses." ep and turn it into "Revenge of the Corpses of the Dead" but it never quite came together. We have a few ideas so hopefully we can pick up where we left off.
Stay tuned…
