Just a short catchup, I’ve been really busy the past week and a half so haven’t had a chance to update. We got together last week without John and started to work through the arrangements of a couple of songs, "The Callow Ones" and "Rocking Horse Winner." Last night we continued on the 2 of them. We have "The Callow Ones" pretty much ready for drum tracking, but "Rocking Horse Winner" is still a way from being ready. It’s a song that I have been working on for a while, but haven’t quite got it right. I was hoping that the band could help me put it together, but despite some good ideas it still isn’t right.
Sunday we will track drums for hopefully 2 songs, "The Callow Ones" and a new version of "Corpses."
If I get some time in the next few days, I’m going to do a post about the tenets we defined for this recording which may be of some interest.
